We got SERVED!

On Saturday, April 21, a team of about 140 volunteers visited Victoria School and worked for 4 hours on an amazing range of projects.  They painted a mural on the ball wall, cleaned out the garden area, built soccer goals on the kindergarten playground, cleaned the library, labeled THOUSANDS of books for Accelerated Reader in the library AND in classrooms, washed windows, painted the F-wingleft treats for staff and teachers...

Victoria School would like to say THANK YOU, Trinity Church for this beautiful day of service!

4th/5th Grade Intra-mural SOCCER

Victoria's 4th and 5th graders have been engaged in an epic battle to find the soccer champions of the school!  Games are during lunch each Tuesday and Thursday.

Now that the regular season has finished up, we have moved into PLAYOFFS.  The top 4 teams in each lunch are playing to determine the lunch champions.  (All other teams will play friendly matches.)  Click HERE to download the playoff schedule.

Playoff standings will be posted on FRIDAY afer each week's games.  Here is how the REGULAR season ended:

A Peace Builder School

Our school continues its tradition as an outstanding example of how students representing 18 different cultures and languages are able to successfully work together to grow academically, socially, and emotionally in an atmosphere of high expectations and acceptance.

A Thinking Maps Site

Our school is a Thinking Maps site. Students in all grades use Thinking Maps as a common visual language for learning. There are 8 maps to help students filter and demonstrate their understanding, and each map is linked to a specific thinking process. There is a map for:
* Defining
* Describing
* Ordering
* Comparing & Contrasting
* Classifying
* Analyzing Causes & Effects
* Seeing Parts-to-Whole relationships
* Understanding Analogies.
